My nails are growing and it’s great! I may have slipped with my left thumb, but they are all re-shallac’d and good to go. I got my nails done this past Saturday and I’ve already a managed to chip at the polish on two nails. Sometimes I just don’t understand my problem.
But, I’d rather the polish than the nail I suppose! Oh why are bad habits so hard to break?
Since I am doing the shellac method, I’ve decided to not post daily simply because it will be harder to see growth because I’m not repainting my nails every other day like I use to. In these pictures you can tell my nails are growing, though! It has chipped a little on my thumb, and the bottom of the polish on some of them is kind of tempting to pick, so I’ve been doing my best not to.
It’ll be crazy to see what two more weeks will do!
It’s amazing that I started this tumblr over 3 (I think?) years and I’m still struggling with one of my worst habits. Honestly, I’m not surprised, and to be fair, this tumblr has been the best thing that has happened for my nails - it has definitely made it a roller coaster of a ride. And it has kept me from not giving up completely. I’ve definitely had given up temporarily, but I could never fully give up on this goal. So, I’m back at it again, and I’m going back to tumblr because I found my best results while using it.
I have a new plan of attack this time around. Unfortunately, it’s an expensive one, but fortunately enough for me, I have a mom who wants me to succeed and has been in my position. My mother has offered to get my nails done with shellac every three weeks, because that is what helped her nails grow out. I have done the shellac before and it worked out great but I never went back after the initial time because I didn’t want to pay to get it done so it fell apart. This time around my mother has offered to pay for it, I just have to come back every three weeks to get my nails redone with her. So, here’s to a new beginning…again.
I don’t usually post pictures of my naked nails because I hate how yellow they can get after I paint them for a while. However, I just removed my nail polish to repaint them, and I was really surprised at how much growth had happen for it only being 6 days. So, I thought I would share it with the world.
I’m really busy currently so I may not always have time to post every day, but when I do I’ll be sure to stop by and give an update.
